West Texas Rural Telephone Coop Details:

WTRT is a cooperative that offers broadband services in the ten counties of the West Texas region to several rural areas. Established in 1951 as a telephone cooperative, WTRT now provides its members with ample connectivity services. WTRT provides connection services ranging from fiber optic connections to fixed wireless connections to residents as well as business people. Fiber connections offer internet service in the range of 1 Gbps for fiber plans and 100 Mbps for fixed wireless plans. Availability should be noted to be location-based, with fiber network extensions being conducted to even more regions that may be considered rural. WTRT is a member-owned cooperative, which means that it operates independently of any distant shareholders and is more sensitive to the needs of its communities. The revenues generated are used for investing in technology, improving services, and maintaining low rates. WTRT also sponsors local events, groups, schools, and emergency management and disaster response agencies. WTRT boasts a technical team comprised of experienced and well-trained personnel, with customer support available all day and night for any West Texas residents in need of internet services to meet both their living and working needs. From using ‘Video Calling’ with family, managing a ‘Ranch’, or pursuing education, WTRT provides modern connectivity to its rural community. As much as possible, WTRT tries to provide important high-speed internet to local communities, despite the few options given to remote areas.
