SWOINET is a regional ISP operating in Altus, Oklahoma that provides broadband internet connection to the clusters of Southwest Oklahoma. Established in 1995 SWOINET aims at offering accessible and cheap internet connection to people living in areas that do not have broadband connection. Using fixed wireless and fiber optic-based technologies, SWOINET offers Broadband speeds up to 1 Gbps to more than 9,000 customers including residential, businesses, government, educational institutes, healthcare, and Agricultural sectors located in eight Oklahoma counties. This organization is also involved in connecting more areas in the western part of Oklahoma through wireless internet and it has been awarded over $ 4 million in federal grants to undertake this noble cause. SWOINET as a local ISP aims to support local economic growth, especially in small towns and cities by providing high-speed connectivity.
