Flint River Communications (FRC) is a regional ISP company founded in Albany, Georgia that aims to provide internet connectivity to both residents and business entities in the southwest Georgia region. Established in 2005, FRC currently offers broadband internet service using fixed wireless technology and can spread internet services to areas that are unable to support cable and/or DSL. FRC uses point-to-point wireless networks and fixed radio transmitters throughout the region; The download speeds provided are up to 25 Mbps while the upload speed is up to 4 Mbps. With no limitations as to contracts and data, FRC strives to take advantage of this untapped market and bring affordable and flexible internet to families, farms, and small businesses in rural areas, which are often ignored by the giants of the telecommunications industry. Constant network improvement and integration of modern wireless equipment from Ubiquiti and Cambium have enabled FRC to grow its coverage area. Currently, FRC provides online connections to over 5000 consumers in 15 counties in the state of Georgia.
