Planters Rural Telephone Cooperative is a cooperative telephone and broadband company company with headquarters in Benton, Kentucky, and is a member of the National Rural Telephone Cooperative Association. Originally, Planters was established in 1951 to extend telephone service to rural regions of the United States; however, today the cooperative provides fiber optic and fixed wireless broadband internet as fast as one gigabit per second.
