Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative Details:

ITC is an Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative which is a member-owned telecommunications cooperative that offers communication services in the rural areas of Minnesota Wisconsin and Iowa including high-speed internet, phone, and television services. ITC was founded in 1949 and initially, ITC used to tie wires for the telephone to connect the farmlands and separated towns that had no connection with communication networks. Today, ITC implements fiber optics and wireless technology allowing up to 1Gig internet connection to over 20000 rural homes and companies. As a cooperative ITC is owned by its customers and aims as its mission to improve the quality of life and economic development of the rural communities through the implementation and provision of fast, reliable internet. In this regard, ITC is not relenting in the provision of fiber infrastructure and wireless technologies for fixed wireless and Wi-Fi mesh networks for broadband access. As a result of partnerships with the local authorities and grants, ITC is now assisting in bridging the digital divide as several rural regions were left unconnected by the major telecom companies. Today, ITC has put in place a cooperative business model and is supporting its rural members through the provision of cutting-edge technology.
