It is a small regional ISP that provides Broadband Internet Services in a few states. Fastlink was established in 2005 and initially offered dial-up and DSL internet services to rural areas which often did not have access to service providers with the necessary resources and scale. Since its establishment, Fastlink has leveraged its resources to extend fiber-optic services and enhance infrastructure, thus ensuring that its customers enjoy enhanced internet speeds. Fastlink currently provides fiber-optic home internet, which can provide internet speed up to 1Gbps, thus, one can perform video conferences, streaming of HD movies, and other activities, without having to wait for the pages to load.

In this case, Fastlink gives dedicated connections and managed Wi-Fi services that meet the voice, data, security camera, and other services desired by small businesses. Unlike with other internet service providers, there are no restrictions on the duration of the contract and no limitations on the usage of data. As a provider dedicated to the enhancement of its existing infrastructure, Fastlink ensures that residents and business owners in unserved areas can connect to essential business services, enabling advancement and progression. This paper aims to discuss the strategies and challenges of Fastlink, an independent ISP that targets solely connections, and its potential to set the tone for future broadband availability across its operating regions.
