Conexon Connect is a fiber optic internet service provider company based in the United States whose core business is to provide rural broadband internet services to customers in rural areas. Established in 2015 by two telecommunications industry veterans, formerly from Rural Fiber Optics, Conexon Connect harnesses strategic collaborations and commercial strategies to make it economically viable and sustainable for rural communities often neglected by major telecommunications companies. With the help of Conexon Connect, which partners with rural electric cooperatives, many of which already have the necessary infrastructure to get to people in rural areas, it is possible to organize fiber-to-the-home broadband networks that can provide up to 1 Gbps download and upload. It delivers fiber broadband that can support high-capacity to rural dwellers and hence can provide crucial services such as telemedicine, remote working, and education among other services that are lacking in rural areas hence reducing the digital divide between the rural and urban areas. Across the board, Conexon Connect is responsible for fiber network design, construction, operation, and billing – enabling the rural electric co-ops to offer internet service without having to be ISPs.
